Getting a tax refund feels like a completion - the end of the road. But it isn't.

Getting a tax refund feels like a completion - the end of the road.

But it isn't.

In many European countries, tax authorities can review your return for several years after filing. If they do, they'll ask you to document what you declared: Income certificates, invoices, rental contracts, receipts for every deduction you claimed. And the multi-year clock restarts the moment they notify you of anything. For carried-forward losses and deductions, they can sometimes look back ten years.

Most people discover this the hard way, three years later, digging through old email attachments and a dropbox folder, hoping the paperwork still exists.

Imagine going 10 years back....

This is what we built the Senso Document Vault for.

𝟭. 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 Every prior year's declaration in one place. Not just for defence. Senso's tax agent can see what you claimed last year, and the year before, when you're preparing the next one. Past filings are the best possible material for spotting reliefs you qualified for and never claimed.

Withholding certificates, invoices, deduction receipts. Uploaded once at filing time, kept for the full statute of limitations. If something lands in your in 2029, it's already organised and ready.

𝟮. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀. All of them, in one place, which is the only way anything can spot that two of them cover the same risk, or that one has been renewing at a higher premium every year while you weren't looking.

𝟯. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆. Deeds, mortgage terms, purchase costs and improvement invoices. The improvement invoices matter more than people realise: they reduce the capital gain when you eventually sell, and nobody keeps them for fifteen years by accident.

𝟰. 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Statements, fee schedules, product terms. This is how you find out what you're actually paying, inside the funds and outside them.

👉 A document sitting in your email inbox is a dead file. The same document living in Senso, alongside everything else you own, becomes something an AI agent can reason over. Overlaps become visible. Costs become addable. Your tax history becomes context rather than a memory.

Senso doesn't file anything and doesn't advise you. It keeps your position documented so that you, or your adviser, can respond in minutes rather than weeks.

A tax refund is good news. Being able to defend it four years later is better.
